Jayne Alcock

Jayne is a qualified social worker with extensive experience of working in social work, housing support, day services and residential/nursing care. Supporting people with various needs including learning difficulties, older people, those in recovery from problematic drug/alcohol use, as well as those experiencing emotional distress/ mental health issues.

Jayne has worked for Carr Gomm Society as Local Services Manager and at Missing Link as Team Leader.

Jayne trained at University of Bristol to become a gardener. She has personally experienced the positive effects that gardening can have on mental health. Her current post at Bridgwater College, Cannington centre for land based studies: Grounds & Gardens Supervisor.

BSc. (hons) in Psychology
Diploma in Social Work

Horticulture quals:
NVQ (Level 2) in Amenity Horticulture
RHS Level 3 (Advanced) Horticulture

Teaching quals:
Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment
Level 3 eAward in Education and Training

Jayne is also the Treasurer of Cannington in Bloom
