Kris Scotting

Kris is a widely experienced Mental Health nurse, who has worked in health and social care for nearly thirty years.

Kris has been a serial creator and supporter of Social Theraputic Horticulture projects.

Starting in 1985 when he joined the Elderfield house team. Moving on in 1989 to work with people with enduring mental health problems in Southampton at the Forest Lodge allotment and Mayfield nurseries during the Nineties.

In the Noughties Kris created and ran the South West Regional Green Growers project, one of the Time to Change local projects. This encompassed groups in Salisbury, Bridport, Wells, Taunton, Tiverton, Warminster and Bridgwater.

Recently Kris has been working on community horticultural projects including Cannington in Bloom.

Kris worked for Rethink for many years as an Area Operations manager running mainly housing schemes. Kris also worked for Turning Point as Regional Manager, overseeing the implementation of several IAPT contracts across the country.

Kris is a qualified Mental Health Nurse and Manager (level 5 NVQ). He also has the PTTLS qualification.
